Hi
everyone! My name is Valerie, and this is my page! (Wow, talk about a cheesy
intro!) Anyway, it's true. This page is my creation. I haven't
been
a fan of Van Halen too long, but that's only because I'm 16. A friend
introduced me to them about 2 1/2 years ago. I went and saw them with
Gary on the 3 tour in Dallas (see ticket below) and it was fantastic! I
can't wait to see them live again. Now, a little about me.
As I said, I'm 16 years old . My birthday
is December 24, 1982. I live in Terrell, TX. (It's a little town
about 30 minutes East of Dallas) I'm finishing up my sophomore year at Terrell
High School. I've got a little brother,
Greg, he's 11, and lots and lots of
friends! Jennifer and I have been
friends since first grade. I've known
Clevern since kindergarten.
Although we only met "officially" last year,
Kayce and I have
become great buds :) She's one cooool chica! I've known
Anna since she moved into
town in the fourth grade. I've known
Tray since, well I've known OF him
for a long time, but became good friends with him these past two years.
I've known Joy for a while,
too. Sixth Grade is it? I can't remember. I met
Jeremy my 8th grade year, I think.
Ashley I've known since about 8th grade, too. Maybe longer?
I've known
Jared
for a long time, just not sure howe long!
And Erienne, Jennifer
and I have been playing softball together for 6 years. So we're pretty close
:) Man too many friends....along with
Blair,
Meagan,
Katie,
Rachel,
Amanda,
Kara, etc etc. Ahh!! I need to write
this stuff down....And then of couse there's Peter. He's a very special
guy. He's very important to me and I'm lucky that he's a part of my
life. I know we'll have a bond that'll last a long long time :)

Aside from all that. I
love, and I do mean LOVE music. I can play mallet percussion. (In
case you didn't know, that's xylophones and stuff.) I can play a little piano
and I hope to be learning the guitar soon, we'll see where THAT goes! But
I think my main passion within music is singing. Which is another reason
why I'm so drawn to Van Halen. This band has had a rich history of
three largely talented singers. I hop to be able to make a living through
my "talent", but if I don't I'm going to go into the field of psychology,
scary huh? :) Let's see, what else could I possibly tell you?
Ok, well I've got other musical interests as well.
I love the Beatles, I've been a Beatle fanatic for
about 5 years now. I
love them to death. I also love "oldies". I think the 50's and
60's produced some incredible music and talents. I love modern music
too. I'm not going to sit here and type every CD I own, but just to
name a few: Smashing Pumpkins, Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Third Eye Blind, etc.
I also love Classical Music. Which scares some people. I
have a record (yes a record!) of old English Lute Music from the Elizabethan
Age of England, and I love it, that's another thing about me, I love the
medieval period. God, I am such a freak......lol :)
